DIY Nursery Valences
I had a lot of requests for the DIY valences my dad made for our baby’s nursery! I am so excited to share all the tips with y’all!
Our nursery is not done yet-but I wanted to give y’all a real time update on all the fun projects. Of course lovely design is curated and not rushed.
This post is more focused specifically on the valences and how YOU TOO can make them at home!
Happy reading!
Here is a little progress photo!
This nursery glider is custom from Lee Industries with Schumacher trim but I found it on my friend’s Instagram closet page and bought it for a FRACTION of the price! I love finding lovely second hand items.
The ottoman is linked here, the lamp here (amazon) and crib here! The rug is linked here and soooo affordable!
Now onto the valences!!!
Can you EVEN believe these black out curtains are Amazon? Give them a good steam and they are ready to go! They are thick, lay well and soooo affordable! Linked here!
The fabric I used for the valences were an Etsy find. I LOVE the classic toile! Linked here!
Last but not least, here is a step-by-step guide to making the valences.
My dad wanted to help me in this season and I couldn’t figure out what project to let him in on. Growing a baby is kind of girly and intimate!!??
BUT! Once we started talking about my vision for the nursery he jumped in. He has not done this before and doesn’t work in this industry-FYI!!!
It look a full Saturday to make them, but you can do it!!!
I hope you found this helpful! I am in a season of resting and writing this was honestly so fun. DM me with questions!!!!
Stay tuned for a full nursery reveal post!
